Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack roof mounted steel cargo basket, part number RMCB. The Rhino Rack roof mounted cargo basket, is a great solution for carrying a wide variety of your luggage, your sporting good equipment, anything you want to keep out of the vehicle, and keep up top.The measurements for this cargo basket are going to be 47-3/16 inches long, by 35-3/8 inches wide, by 5-1/2 inches tall. And there are also plenty of tie down points for your straps, your ratchet straps, to secure your loads while you drive as well. Another nice feature about this cargo basket, is that it comes installed with a faring at the front here. And that's to help deflect the wind, and kind of cut down that wind noise, and drag that you may experience while you drive. There's a lot of cargo baskets on the market that won't come with this, and they actually have this more squared off section at the front, and that will cause more noise while you drive. With it completely open, you can see there's plenty of space in between our cargo basket and our actual hatch. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket, part number TH859XT.The Thule Canyon XT is a great solution for carrying a wide variety of your luggage, your sporting goods equipment, anything you want to keep out from inside the vehicle and make more space. As you can see, we we're able to fit quite a few items up on our cargo basket. It's measurements are 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by 6 inches tall at its highest point. With our hatch open, you can see, there's no issue of clearance between our cargo basket and our rear hatch, as there's plenty of space in between. A lot of that's because of the placement of our existing roof rack system. Now, if you had factory raised side rails, you might have an issue here and there, but you can always adjust those accordingly. With everything loaded up, this does have a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual and with your roof rack system to ensure that you can carry those weights on this. more

Thule Roof Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe

Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Canyon Rooftop Mounted Cargo Basket. It's gonna be part number TH859. This basket is going to be 49 inches long, 40 inches wide, have a depth of 6 inches, and with its sturdy steel construction is gonna offer a 150 lb weight capacity. The crossbars that it's resting on, and the body of the vehicle, just check to make sure that you're within the specifications of all the weight ratings when you place items up top. All right, another thing that I'm gonna add for this basket in particular, you'll see that at each of the feet have two allen bolts securing the clamp that you can adjust from end to end. Make sure that you adjust these to the center by center crossbar spread. There's a little hole in the center right here. Just get the spread from there to the one in the front, and get that all centered up before you get it put up on the vehicle. It'll make it a lot easier for installation, and real quick, because then all you'll need to do is take your U-bolt, place two washers on it, and two wing nuts, slide it up underneath, place one washer, one wing nut on each of those slots, and tighten it down. Once you got it tightened down, take the cover .. Notice the one side with the two little fins coming off it with the little square in the middle That's going to fit over the flange that's sticking out on the one side. more
